Refund and Returns Policy

Returns and refunds for books purchased via the Book Empress storefront on Bookshop.org are subject to the Bookshop.org terms and conditions, and will be handled through the Bookshop.org website.

If there is an issue with your purchase, please let us know. However, we do not offer refunds or returns on books or other merchandise. Used books may be traded in for store credit toward other used books, as subject to our trade-in policy.

Gift cards, when offered, are also non-returnable.

If a return or refund is approved at the owner’s discretion, shipping costs are non-refundable, and you will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning your item. If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
