Welcome to Book Empress Used Books – an online and pop-up bookstore in Atlantic County, New Jersey, founded in June 2023 by Leona Konkel (with input from her book-loving daughter Amelia).

Book Empress brings hand-picked used books to Egg Harbor Township, Linwood, Northfield, Somers Point, and beyond – from beloved classics to surprising finds – run by someone who genuinely can’t stop hunting for the neat stuff. Our storefront is online only while we work on a brick-and-mortar location, but we ship, offer free local delivery, and pop up at local events throughout Atlantic County.
